Department of Medical Laboratory Techniques

Brief about the Department 

The department was established in 1998 with the aim of graduating qualified technical staff to work in the laboratories of various government and private hospitals and health centers (medical analysis, blood bank).

 

Vision 

The department’s strategy aims to align its administrative system with the international ABET standards, and its educational and learning programs are designed within an international framework, grounding them in real-world applications.

Graduate Description 

  • Performing laboratory tests related to the isolation, staining, and examination of germs found in clinical samples.

  • Preparing and sterilizing culture media and examining food for food contaminants.

  • Performing all blood tests and analyses.

  • Performing tests on urine, stool, and various body fluids (such as knee fluid, cerebrospinal fluid).

  • Preparing tissue slides from various organs and preparing them for examination.
