Module Objectives

أهداف المادة الدراسية

 

Acquiring the necessary skills and developing knowledge for first-year students in the Medical Laboratory Techniques Department to identify the body’s systems, their parts, and the function of each system. As well, as identifying the cell structure, components, and function in normal and pathological conditions.

At the end of the module, the student is expected to be able to:

1. Definition of physiology and pathophysiology.

2. Classification types of physiology.

3. Enumerate the cell theories

4. Differentiate between unicellular organisms and multicellular organisms.

5. Distinguish between the sizes and shapes of cells.

6. Recognizes the Prokaryotes and Eukaryotes characteristics.

7. Differentiate between the components of animal, plant, and bacterial cells.

8. Explains each part of the cell’s structure and function, represented by organelles inside the cell (Cell Membranes, Nucleus, Cytoplasm, Endoplasmic Reticulum, Golgi body, Mitochondria…etc).
